We now offer fully Professional Goalkeeping coaching from our coaching staff: Adam Bartlett, Mark Cook and Andy Young.

Adam has been a professional goalkeeper for the past 6 years and continues to be with Gateshead FC in the football conference.

Adam has made over 200 senior appearances in both the football league and national conference for clubs such as Kidderminster Harriers, Cambridge United, Hereford United and Gateshead as well as winning 6 caps for the England C side.
After spending 10 years from the age of 9 to 19 with Newcastle United Adam was employed by the club as full time academy goalkeeping coach for the following 2 seasons combining this with his coaching work with Newcastle United football in the community.

Adam has his level 2 coaching qualification and SAQ level 2 qualification.

We at NCF Multi Sports are looking to develop the goalkeepers of the future, working on all aspects of a goalkeepers game including:

- SAQ (speed, agility, quickness) warm up
- Handling techniques
- Diving techniques
- Shot stopping
- Positional awareness
- Dealing with the high ball One on one situation
- Basic distribution
- Positive mental attitude

Adam has worked in sessions on all the above with goalkeepers such as Shay Given, Steve Harper, Tim Krul and Fraser Forster as well as top class coaches such as Simon Smith, Adam Sadler, Terry Gennoe, Paul Barron and Russell Hoult.

We would also like to welcome No. 2 Goalkeeper Coach Mark Cook.

Mark was a goalkeeper with Newcastle United from the age of 10 playing for the clubs academy sides as well as reserve sides.
Mark worked on a day to day basis with goalkeepers Shay Given, Steve Harper, Tim Krul and Fraser Forster and also worked with many top coaches including Simon Smith, Adam Sadler and Terry Gennoe.

Upon his release from the club at 19 Mark signed for Hartlepool United and spent the next 2 seasons with the then league 1 side as understudy to 1st choice goalkeeper Scott Flinders.

After leaving Hartlepool Mark spent the following season at conference side Gateshead but was unable to make his mark at the club and soon moved on too Harrogate Town where he went on to make 62 appearances.

Mark then took up the opportunity of a life time signing for Peruvian side Universitario who were managed by former Newcastle and Hartlepool team mate Nobby Solano.
After 1 season in South America Mark is now back in his native north east and is looking forward to working with us as a goalkeeping coach.

I'm sure most of our goalkeepers are familiar with Andy Young as our current Goalkeeping coach and as the keepers gain more skills and confidence, we feel the next natural step is to push them to the next level in their training by introducing the 2 new pro goalkeepers, this will then allow Andy to bring the next generation of goalkeepers in and get them to the same high standard.

We at NCF Multi Sports are starting Saturday morning sessions from 6th July 2013 as well as a potential evening session dependant on demand.
We are also available for one to one sessions, which we highly recommend due to the improvement rate the one to one session generally gives.

Also group sessions for Boys Clubs and Football teams are available, all ages welcome. please contact Barry Collins for further info.
